2011 Kuşadası , I only compete with Turkish Airlines. My first parachute experience. It feels safe to be tied with a rope. Nice feeling and nice scenery. Adrenaline and the sound of the wind.
FISH, SEA URCHIN and ISMET
Just like Captain Custo and his documentaries :) Underwater is not a comfortable place for me. Pressure is disturbing and breathing with a snorkel like equipment is also difficult. It’s like getting artificial respiration. But the underwater is really awesome and colorful. I had headache due to the pressure. Except this it was a great experience. I decided not to do again at the first time but later had two times more. But no more :) I’m not a sea man. I was created to live out in the air.
BUNGEE JUMPING
No such jumping have ever been seen since the bungee jumping started. :) I jumped from 300 -500 metres. I left myself from the top of the crane to the sea just in front of Ayayorgi beach. It’s been witnessed by all Çeşme people. A sudden quiteness happened in Çeşme. The man running the bungee jumping haven’t asked any money. He said “I have never experienced such a brave jumping, perfect jumping technique, unhesitating will, awesome flying and jumping back.” I became deaf temporarily because of the tremendous sound of clapping. :D
SEAPLANE ON MARMARA GULF
I tasted the discovery of Marmara Sea and the gulf, İzmit and İstanbul from the sky. It was superb. The plane was Chesna of which the tires were taken out but floatings hulls were put instead. It is for 4 people. It flies at random hours to control the sea pollution in the gulf. It tries to prevent the ships to leave their dirty water or disposal to the sea. Their dock is near Seka Park and I see them very often while jogging early in the morning. We started flying while the sun was rising and landed on the sea after an hour.
P1-P2 PARA GLIDING TRAINING
If you fly, fly like this, without looking back, surfing in the air like a cloud or a bird! :P
I got training for P1 and P2 para gliding certificate from Fenomen Air Sports, Serdivan-Adapazarı. The trainers were Abdullah and Taycan. I flew myself 8 times. But when the wind cause a shake in the air, you feel close to God. Once I fell down on mu but very hard from 5-6 metres. However, I’m a pilot now.
CAPPADOCIA - AIR BALLOON TOUR
Very Expensive. They get you from the hotel before the sun start rising and take you to the office. They give you main information about flying while having a small breakfast. Then they take you to flying fields altogether. After the preparations of the balloons, you get on it and the journey starts. You observe the sun rising in the air, shadows changing in the valley of Cappadocia, it is a magical and spiritual experience. Start saving money if you want this experience :) My daughter Destan was with me.
CLIMBING KAMAN MOUNTAIN IN GOKSUN
My father’s and mother’s house in Göksun is just near a high mountain called Kaman. Every-time I look through the window, I see the top of it and have a desire to climb. Once I climbed up but get tired very much and climbed up a wrong hill which is not the highest. So I planned another climb with a local guy who can take me to correct hill. While climbing I met a stone barrier. I didn’t want to walk around and instead climb up the stone because it looked mild from down. But on the half I noticed that it was a big mistake because I reached such a place that I can not go back down and can not climb up. My body started to react, cold sweat, my heart beaten quickly. I thought my body realized the danger of death. Later I took all the risk and continued to climb up. I’m still alive but was a big lesson for me. Nothing is as seen in the mountains. :)
MAKSUTOLUĞU PLATEAU
The early moments of sun rise on top of mountain in a great plateau. It’s rocky hill and can not walk, you should jump from one rock to another like a goat. Is a very nice sport activity. You effort a lot buıt don’t get tired as much because ot the air or the oxygen. Scenery is great with fog over the valley below. The sounds birds, the smell of mountain mint and thyme make the climbing great. Maksutoluğu is a plateau about 1600-1800 meter high neqar Kadirli.
MERYEMÇİL LAKE
I pass by Meryemçil artificial lake every year. It looks great wtih its turquoise color. It is a mountain lake and the water in it is very cold. I always wanted to swim in it and this was the time I achieved.
BULAK-MENCİLEK CAVE
It is the 4th deepest cave in Turkey. 6200 meters but you can only go 400 meters deep. More is not allowed because of safety.
While I was climbing up, some people were going down and when they were passing by I started talking about the possibility of an earthquake to make the journey more tasty for them 8)
His name is İMAM, He is Turkmen from Alleppo, A Syrian refugee
He is a fortune teller and also a prayer if you pay for it. It was my destiny to meet and chat with him.
I met him a few times occasionally previous days and finally met him at a coffee shop. He had noticed me beforehand and when met in the coffeeshop, he came to my table. I ordered him tea and started chat. He prayed for me and wished so many good wishes for me that I had to pay a lot. But I asked a small discount and made a deal at the end. :D
KARTEPE - TANDEM PARAGLIDING FLIGHT
Tandem Paragliding with KOHAVK team. Burak Horozoğlu is the pilot and I’m the passenger. The flight started at 1200 meters and landed on Arslanbey town. If I were the pilot, I would fear a lot but was very comfortable as a passenger.
